Job Description


School Locker is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Accountant to join our Head Office team. This is a full time role with opportunity to grow in a fast paced company that focuses on promoting from within. You will be reporting directly to the Finance Manager and working with entire Finance Team. There will be comprehensive on the job training and support provided. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a growing organisation and work within a highly collaborative and supportive team. 


The Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • end of month accounting processes and reconciliations;
  • preparation of internal management reports;
  • business partnering with internal stakeholders and stores;
  • assistance with audit queries; and
  • continually improving and streamlining process and systems to promote improved control and reporting across the finance function and store network.


The Candidate

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • CA/CPA qualified or in-progress
  • familiarity with various Accounting software packages
  • strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel 
  • a highly organised nature and be process driven
  • a can-do attitude, with a thirst for learning
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • a willingness to take on additional tasks across the broader finance team as required 
  • the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
